Witchy Boots is a spirited and empowering documentary that plays like Happy Hour at your favorite pub, exploring both historical and modern women that shape the craft beer industry. From trailblazing founders accused of witchcraft to contemporary voices carving space in the male-dominated field, the film captures the movement toward inclusion, creativity, and sisterhood inside the brewhouse. Produced by the Emmy® award-winning team behind The Master Craftsman and based off of industry insider Tara Nurin’s “A Woman’s Place Is in the Brewhouse,” Witchy Boots includes participation from Pink Boots Society to help showcase a mosaic of voices, including queer, BIPOC, and otherwise underrepresented women, whose passion for fermentation becomes a lens for empowerment and community. Between bursts of laughter and riffs of rock music, witness how these “witchy” innovators are brewing change and joy in equal measure. For one night only, join the filmmakers and the brewers on March 8th at Kent Stage for a special fundraiser screening of Witchy Boots! Featuring live music from Lez Paul, who appear extensively in the film, followed by a screening of the film. A portion of the tickets and merch sales will go to the Pink Boots Cleveland chapter.
