Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band

Thursday, October 14
Show: | 8pm // Doors: | 8pm

2020 brought hardship to everyone amidst a global pandemic, but in the music industry we saw first hand just how bad things became. Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band struggled through the year, finding solace while playing live shows from their cabin monthly on a “pay-what-you-can” Patreon page. Despite seemingly in it’s darkest hour, the band found redemption in their latest album “Dance Song for Hard Times” released in April this year. Continuing on their climb back to touring, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band returns Live at The Kent Stage on October 14th, 2021.

Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band
Thursday October 14th at 8 P.M.
Tickets go on sale Friday July 9th, at 10 A.M EST

Two time BMA nominee’s The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band are the greatest front-porch blues band in the world. They are led by Reverend Peyton, who most consider to be the premier finger picker playing today. He has earned a reputation as both a singularly compelling performer and a persuasive evangelist for the rootsy, country blues styles that captured his imagination early in life and inspired him and his band to make pilgrimages to Clarksdale, Mississippi to study under such blues masters as T-Model Ford, Robert Belfour and David “Honeyboy” Edwards.

Now The Big Damn Band is back with a new record Dance Songs For Hard Times that debuted at #1 on the Billboard and iTunes Blues Charts and was produced by Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton). The record is critically acclaimed by Rolling Stone, Relix, Popmatters, Guitar World, American Songwriter, No Depression, Glide, Wide Open Country, Paste, American Blues Scene and many more! The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band will be supporting ZZ Top on tour this fall.

We are very excited Rev. Peyton and his band will make their return to The Kent Stage later this year as we continue to strive to bring you the best shows possible for the remainder of this year. Join us for a night here at The Kent Stage with one of our favorites. Show starts at 8 P.M. and both the doors & box office will open one hour prior.
