Jonah Koslen Strike It Up ’26
Jonah has been a significant member of the Northeast Ohio music scene since 1973. As an original member of the Michael Stanley Band, Jonah wrote and recorded some of MSB”s most loved songs, “Waste a Little Time On Me”, “Strike Up The Band”, “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Mind” and “Ladies Choice”. Jonah contributed lead guitar, lead vocals and arrangements to the first three MSB albums.
In 1978, Jonah formed the now classic Midwest rock band, Breathless, and recorded two national releases for EMI America, featuring fan faves “Takin” It Back”, “Walk Right In”, “Wild Weekend”, and more
In the 1980s, Jonah formed Jonah Koslen and the Heroes, recording two albums. He relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1984, where he recorded recorded, performed and wrote with dozens of artists from teen star Tiffany, to blues legend Bonnie Bramlett. With friend Joe Walsh, Jonah created the ‘morphing’ video that appeared in concert with the Eagles, introducing the encore songs on the “Hell Freezes Over” world tour.
In the early 90s, Jonah and Michael Stanley co-wrote and produced the Ghost Poets CD. At different times throughout the years, Jonah has been a CDROM producer for Philips Media (producing and designing the “Don’t Quit Your Day Job” game for the Improv Comedy club), an Internet radio pioneer with ClevelandHits.com and Everstream and a web developer.
Jonah has released many acclaimed new, compilation and live recordings throughout his career, including “Telling On Myself”, “Jonah Koslen and The Heroes Agora Live” – a classic recording of a WMMS Coffebreak concert from 1983 containing live versions of classic MSB, Breathless and Heroes favorites. In the fall of 2022, Jonah reunited with original surviving MSB alumni Tommy Dobeck and Daniel Pecchio under the name KDP for two sold-out shows, which resulted in the 2023 release “KDP Kent Stage Live ‘22”. In the summer of 2025 Jonah released a limited-edition vinyl-only recording, “Unreleased Tracks From The Stagepass Era.”

2026 will start off with a bang as Jonah and his band, featuring musical director and guitarist extraordinaire Michael Weber, original Breathless member Rodney Psyka, keyboardist Rik Storm, drummer Ed Davis and bassist Evan Baker perform an exciting new show featuring all his fan favorites May 8th at The Kent Stage.

The Meet & Greet will take place from 5:30 – 6:30. PLEASE be at the Box Office by 5:25. You will meet Jonah and have a photo taken – with your camera. You will have early access to Jonah’s merchandise, CD’s, as well as MSB, Breathless and solo releases. Jonah will gladly sign these items for you at the Meet & Greet!
