Jeff Tweedy, founding member and frontman of Wilco, is one of contemporary music’s most respected songwriters and performers. In addition to 13 Wilco albums, he has released five solo albums – most recently, his 30-track “magnum opus” (New York Times) Twilight Override.
This tour, featuring his sons and longtime collaborators, offers a rare chance to experience songs from across his expansive catalog and step inside the world of Twilight Override.
Case Oats
Case Oats is the Chicago outfit led by Casey Gomez Walker and Spencer Tweedy. Emerging from Chicago’s vaunted music community, Case Oats began life seven years ago when Gomez Walker, a writer and poet with some experience in bands, met Tweedy, a seasoned drummer who has performed with Jeff Tweedy, Waxahatchee, Mavis Staples, and Norah Jones. Not long after meeting, they started writing songs together, and in the time since their formation, Case Oats have homed in on a lived-in sound that perfectly complements Gomez Walker’s lyrics which are wry and confessional and full-bodied.
